The 5 most overrated products for backpacking

backpacks in pickup truck

Let me tell you what not to pack when going on a backpacking trip. Packing your backpack for a trip is different for everybody. Some take weeks to plan and use lists to make sure they don’t forget anything. Others, like me, start the evening before. We all have one thing in common though: we over pack. Heavily too. To make matters worse, there are some travel items that everybody seems to be recommending while they are really not that great. Or even useful. You pack them, drag them around your whole trip and unpack them back home. Never really used them at all. Bocas Del Toro: Panama’s Party Paradise

Panama is well known for its tropical paradise islands, and where the San Blas Islands lure people with their seclusion, the Bocas del Toro island group is their partying elder sister. Add to that great communal meals and a good social vibe and you find yourself in a place you might never want to leave. If you include Panama into your itinerary, you must also include a visit to the Lost and Found.

The San Blas Islands: Panama’s paradise islands

There are about 350 of them. All so tiny you could walk around them in under 15 minutes. Only a few are inhabited, the others’ main purpose is serving as nesting grounds for turtles. All with marble-white beaches, wavy palm trees and lined by the azure-blue waters of the Carribean. Welcome to Panama. Welcome to the San Blas Islands.

Panama City is definitely not the most interesting place to visit. But with it being the gateway to Panama, a visit is hard to avoid when you have set your mind to exploring the country. Better read this guide to ensure you’ll make the most out of it!
